Not Ready for Retirement Living Yet?

Is the Apartment Community the right place for me?
Good question. There are so many things to consider as you think about what is important to you in choosing a retirement community. The following questions are some that we hear frequently.
We also know that you may have many more questions – please do not hesitate to contact us for more information specific to your life.
What is the difference between a free-standing rental retirement community and a continuing care community?
A rental retirement community provides a resident with a combination of an apartment, food and other services in return for a monthly fee. Generally, there is not a required entrance fee and should you need more care, you will need to move to another facility.
The Apartment Community is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). This allows a resident to have access to three levels of care (Independent, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Care) under one roof. We provide these living options so that the resident does not have to leave their spouse or friends should their health care needs change.
Is an entrance fee required to move to the Apartment Community, and do I have to sign a year’s rental contract? Also, is there an application fee?
There is no required entrance fee or application fee. Our contracts are month-to-month and a 60-day notice is required to end your contract in the Independent Apartments.
Are pets allowed at the Apartment Community?
Yes. Small pets are allowed in the Independent Apartments, and there is one-time $500 pet deposit fee.
Can I entertain friends and family at the Apartment Community?
Definitely. We encourage you to invite family and friends to participate in activities, visit with you in your apartment and even dine with you in our beautiful dining room. Simply purchase a meal ticket for visitors, and enjoy a delicious meal – no dishes to wash, just time for good conversation.
Can my out-of-town visitors stay at the Apartment Community?
Absolutely. In fact, we are always delighted to accommodate the family and friends of residents. Our guest rooms are extremely comfortable and very affordable. Because breakfast is included in the cost, staying at the Apartment Community is a lot like vacationing at a B&B. Please call ahead to check on availability.
